Welcome to the Greene King

Bedfordshire County Cricket League

Our 27th season and 2017 looks to be a another very exciting year for the League.

Andy Watts took the honour in 2011 of taking over from Ian Smith who Chaired the League for 13 years,  Ian put in a lot of hard work and endeavour to take the League forward and Andy is now following in Ian's footsteps driving the League further forward. In 201 we welcome Steppingley and New Bradwell to the League structure and we welcome Caddington into the Development Division.

In 2005 we started to operate a single League ladder format that sees promotion & relegation between our all of our divisions. In 2007 we added the Development Division. In 2010 we added a fifth division.  This season we have added a sixth division.

We field a Representative XI in the Club Cricket Conference Inter League Competition, known as the Sovereign Trophy. The side is captained by Carl Ferguson (Flitwick CC), scorecards & fixtures can now be seen on the Beds Cricket Board site. In 2016 we will once again take part in the Club Cricket Conference Inter League Knock Out Competition.

In 2014 our Chairman Andy Watts won a coveted ECB NatWest OSCA in the category of Leagues and Board at the prestigious awards ceremony at Lords.

League Chairman Andy Watts won the prestigious ECB NatWest OSCA for the category of Leagues and Boards in October 2014 at the awards ceremony at Lords.

Andy collected his award from England and Middlesex fast bowler Steven Finn; Andy, who was in shock at the time commented that "This award is not just for me but it is for the whole of my committee who give up a tremendous amount of their free time to help run the best Sunday league in the country. So I thank them for all their hard work".
